OCR Level 3 NVQ in Logistics Operations Management

This NVQ is designed to reflect the work of candidates who undertake management and supervisory activities working with all goods, materials, plant and equipment in the logistics industry.

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace. The qualification is about the safe and economical handling of goods and materials. Candidates will be managing teams of people and have a degree of responsibility for all aspects of the warehousing and logistics operation. Candidates will have authority and autonomy and will be required to make decisions within agreed boundaries and limits.

This NVQ is a work-orientated qualification and is suitable for those who undertake logistics operations management practices in their work. This is open to candidates, of either gender and there are no entry barriers on grounds of race, creed or previous academic attainment or learning.

This qualification has also been designed to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required to enable progression to and from qualifications along the vertical and horizontal planes in the National Qualifications Framework.
