Why did you join the NVQ programme at your workplace?

I joined it because the Bluebell Railway introduced the programme to those who were interested and I also thought that it was a worthwhile qualification to help me progress my career. I have also completed an NVQ in food and drink - I like the learning style of an NVQ. 

Have you felt challenged and achieved your goals? What were these challenges and goals?

My goals were to improve my confidence levels, use my initiative more and improve product and service knowledge. I feel that with the help from my Assessor I have met these goals and have since been put forward for promotion.


How has the NVQ affected your confidence in your job?

The NVQ has helped me develop new skills and increased my confidence and my professionalism as a result the company has given me more responsibility.


What do you plan to do with your new skills?

I plan to apply them to my current job and promotion and further my customer service skills with the drive to increase customer service and sales for the company.
